That's right. One more day until the Frenzy adventure begins. For some of you (those living in Australia for example), Script Frenzy will start today.
Here is a list of things you might want to do in these final hours before April 1:
- Find some Post-it Notes: These will come in really handy once you start writing. You can write your character names on one so you don't forget them midway through your script. You can use them to write down bits of dialogue you want to include later on. You can cover your face with them in moments of crazed frustration!
- Come up with a logline: A logline is a one-sentence summary of your script. Here is an example of a logline: "The president of the chess club joins the football team to impress a girl only to find that what works on the chess board doesn’t necessarily work on the football field . . . or in the game of love." Once you come up with your logline, write it on a Post-it and put it up in your writing area. It'll keep you from losing track of your script's storyline.
- Make a playlist: If you have iTunes or some other way to compile songs onto a CD or digital playlist, make a Script Frenzy sound track. Include songs that you imagine would be in your film/play/TV show and/or songs that help you concentrate while you write. You can always make a mix tape as well.
- Relax: Watch some TV, take a bike ride, read a good book, lay on a blanket in the back yard . . . do whatever relaxes you. You want to jump into the Frenzy with a well-rested mind.
Can't wait to get writing,
Tavia
