Need an Idea?

Still digging around in that noggin of yours for a brilliant script idea for this year's Frenzy? If you're still idea-less, try looking in one of the following places:

  • Your dreams. My 2008 Script Frenzy screenplay came from a dream I had about the universe imploding. Your subconscious is a great place to find some really creative, off-the-wall ideas. Start writing down your dreams when you wake up and see if any of them spark a story!
  • Your novels. If you've written a novel during National Novel Writing Month (or written any fiction in school or on your own) consider adapting your fiction into a play or movie. This year, my writing partner and I are adapting a book she wrote during NaNo 2008 into a series of short films.
  • Outside. Don't spend too much time locked inside thinking about how you have no idea what to write. It's likely that your best ideas will come to you when your outside, observing this crazy world we live in. There are so many great characters out there!
  • I hope this helps!
