Around this time last year, I extolled the virtues of working on your script until the very last minute. And earlier this month, I talked about finding a writing oasis where you can do nothing but create. I still believe in the power of those techniques: using the frantic energy of a deadline, balanced with the calm of a dedicated creative space, to get yourself to "FADE OUT."

Recently, I've been thinking about the potential of another method: finding distractions.

I'm writing to let you know that you have about 240 hours of Script Frenzy left. That's almost an eternity, right? Even with 16 hours a day set aside for sleep and school, you could read 320 comic books, watch 160 sitcom episodes, or see Wrath of the Titans 48 times.

Better yet, you could finish creating your own film, TV show, play, or graphic novel.
